As the name suggests, ‘Vault’ is a collection of tracks that were recently discovered after languishing unheard for over a decade. Exactly when some of these were made is unknown as unfortunately many of the details have been lost to time, however ‘Anon’ seems to be an edited version of a live performance that was part of Ciclo Herzios at La Clinica Mundana, Valencia in February of 2011 and ‘Europa’ might have been a rehearsal; so my best guess is that the remaining tracks are from that time period as they all share an aesthetic.
Listening to the music with fresh ears I felt they should have an audience and the time seemed right to give them a little love. The recordings were finessed a little and sent to Colin Potter to get his input; he liked them and offered to release them. They were then polished up, mastered by Colin and well… here we are… a snapshot in time.

Biography:
Active since 2003, Paul Bradley is a British drone artist who has album releases on his own Twenty Hertz imprint and on labels such as Alluvial Recordings, Small Voices and ICR. Releasing music both solo and in collaboration with artists such as Adam Sonderberg, Cria Cuervos, Maile Colbert and as a member of Monos; his most frequent collaborator is Colin Potter of Nurse With Wound.
Drones, field recordings and instruments are all employed to create an alternate soundscape; an escape into the otherwordly that has been described as ’emotional’, ‘evocative’ and that it ‘overwhelms the senses’.
He has played solo and collaborative live performances around Europe including France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Norway and has participated in festivals such as Observatori, Nodutgang Festivalen, Storung and HoerenSehen 2.
The Twenty Hertz label ran from around 2003 until around 2012. In addition to the work of Paul Bradley, releases included artists such as Colin Potter, Andrew Liles, Maile Colbert, Monos, Rubén Garcia and others. The label then fell dormant but the name remained to be resurrected again in 2024 primarily as a showcase for the work of Paul Bradley.
